Crazy for Christ Ministries

As a ministry that is committed to God’s plan for our lives, we have always strived to follow the leading of the Lord. This means extended hours and days are spent in His presence, waiting on the Him for His guidance.

When the ministry first started, the Lord led us to Abono Mountains, a retreat mountain site close to Lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region as the venue for our camp meetings. We held camp meetings there from 1998 through to 2005. In 2005 the Lord led us to change the venue for hosting the camp meetings to Senior High Schools. This we obeyed promptly and pursued diligently until 2010.

In 2010, the Lord led us yet again to buy twenty plots of land at Piase near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region. This will be used as a revival centre where our camp meetings and other programs will be for hosted and where other Christians and their families can come to wait on Him.

The Location will be home to a three thousand seater auditorium, dormitories, an office complex, guest houses etc.  The land has already been cleared and work has commenced. It has been estimated to cost three million dollars. God said He will build it and we trust Him to fulfil His word. Nonetheless, we are encouraging all and sundry to get involved as God will lead you-financially, expertise-wise, materially and even spiritually because everything that God does on earth, He does through and with people. You can contact us for further information regarding details of our partnership program. God told us specifically that as the project is being raised so shall the destiny of the partners be raised. FAITHFUL IS HE THAT HAS PROMISED, HE ALSO WILL DO IT!

As part of our calling as a ministry, C.F.C organises several empowerment programs throughout the year. Among these programs are:
The Weekly Empowerment Services

The weekly meetings come off every Monday and Saturday. The focus of these meetings is to keep the members of the ministry who live within Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region and its environs empowered as they mature in the things of God. These Weekly Empowerment services have undoubtedly helped the members not only stand and live for God but to succeed by using God’s word in practical ways to confront the circumstances of their lives, overcome them and live victoriously in Christ.
The Leadership Empowerment Seminars

Aside of the weekly empowerment services, the ministry in addition organises quarterly leadership seminars and workshops to train all of its leaders from all over the country. During such meetings, the leaders are sharpened, refreshed, stimulated and empowered through bible based teachings, extensive prayers and impartations to go back and produce more results in their areas of leadership. The President, his staff and various departmental leaders also render accountability on the various responsibilities entrusted to their care during the seminars. These seminars could be considered as the backbone of the phenomenal numerical growth the ministry experiences year in and out.
The Empowerment Camp Meetings

In addition to the weekly meetings and leadership seminars, the ministry again organises quarterly camp meetings for the entire C.F.C family. During the camp meetings, members and non- members from all around the country’s senior high schools and tertiary institutions including teacher training colleges, nursing training colleges, universities, polytechnics as well as professional workers such as nurses, teachers, bankers, marketers, architects, surveyors just to mention a few congregate in Kumasi to spend a week in waiting on the Lord.

Lots of teaching and prayer sessions take place during this period. Members, led by the leadership spend protracted hours in prayer everyday for various global leaders, global issues, Ghana, the body of Christ, the ministry itself, its members and their loved ones. Extraordinary miracles are often the results of these camp meetings. People leave the camp grounds charged, anointed, blessed, strengthened, refreshed and encouraged.  Many get saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues. Divine plans and purposes are revealed to many, gifts and anointing are imparted, healing and deliverance from chronic and severe ailments, evil habits, yokes and burdens get removed and destroyed and many lives are ultimately transformed for effective and maximised living. It is usually an encounter and experience with God.

The President

Joseph BoahenJoseph Boahen is the president of Crazy for Christ Ministry and all of its associate chapters. He is a humble and god-fearing servant of God with a resolute passion to bring the light of God’s word to a dark and hurting world, and to see believers established in their faith walk with the Lord.

As a revivalist and teacher of God’s word, Joseph can trace the call of God on his life back to the early age of 13 when he used to gather children under 10 years to teach them the word of God in his hometown.

He is called by God with the specific mandate to empower people to live for Him. He fulfils this mandate by teaching at the ministry’s weekly meetings as well as at their quarterly camp meetings.

Joseph has a rare teaching gift which enables him to efficientlydissolve all forms of spiritual ignorance by opening the eyes of people to see the truth of God’sword. He believes that every problem can be solved if the eyes of people are opened to see the truth of God’s word (John 8:32). He also has an unusual insight in the area of divine health and healing, and operates in a very strong healing anointing. He believes one of his core assignments as a minister of God is to bring God’s healing power to his generation. It is therefore no surprise that outstanding results, and as such, testimonies abound to this effect.

Joseph is a trained journalist but is currently pursuing the call of God on his life full time. He is married to his lovely wife, Ama Muah Brayie Boahen and they are blessed with two children – a boy and a girl.

Tenets of Faith

Even though we are an inter-denominational ministry, we deem it necessary to declare our commitment with regards to our beliefs and profession of Faith. These have been categorically spelt out below as follows:
The Scriptures:

We unreservedly believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we unreservedly accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2Tim. 3:16, 1Thess. 3:13, 2Pet. 1:21)
The Godhead:

We unreservedly believe that our God is one, but manifested in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal. (Phil. 2:6)

We unreservedly believe that God the Father is greater than all; the sender of the Word (logos) and the begetter. (John 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14).

We unreservedly believe that the Son is the Word flesh covered, the one begotten and who has existed with us from the beginning. (John 1:14, John 1:18, John 1:1)

We unreservedly believe that the Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal. (John 15:26)
Man, His fall and redemption:

We unreservedly believe that Man is a created being made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory…” As it is written, “there is none righteous, no not one”. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (Rom.5:12, Rom. 3:23, Rom. 3:10, I John 3:8).

We unreservedly believe that salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Eph.2:8)
Eternal Life and the New Birth:

We unreservedly believe that for a person to be born again, they must consciously believe in their heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead and must confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. (Rom 10:9 – 10)

We unreservedly believe that man’s first step towards salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance, and that the new birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life. (2Cor. 7:10, John 3: 3-5, 1 John 5:12)
Water Baptism:

We unreservedly believe that every Christian should be baptized in water to fulfill all righteousness. (Mat. 3:13 – 16)

The ministry however, does not baptize its members, but since water baptism is a command from our Lord Jesus (Matt.28:19), we encourage our members to get baptized in their mother churches.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit:

We unreservedly believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. We unreservedly believe that this experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. (Matt. 3:11, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 2:4)

We unreservedly believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. (Heb. 12:14, 1Thess. 5:33, 2Pet. 3:18, 2 Cor. 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14, 1 Cor. 1:30)
Signs and Wonders:

Through insight into New Testament mysteries (Mk. 4:11, 1Cor. 2:10) we unreservedly believe and accept signs and wonders. These could come through such means as:

Laying of hands to impart the gifts of God (2 Tim. 1:6, Deut. 34:9)
    Holy communion (1 Cor. 11:23 – 26)
    Anointing people with oil (Mk. 6:13, Jm.5:14 - 15)
Prophetic utterances (Isa. 44:26, Mk 11:23)

Divine Healing:

We unreservedly believe that healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. We also unreservedly believe that it is provided for, in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Body of Christ today. (John 5:14-15, Mk. 16:18, Isa. 53:4-5, Matt. 8:17, 1Pet. 2:24)
Resurrection of the Just and return of our Lord:

The angel said to Jesus’ disciples, “…this same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven”. We unreservedly believe His coming is imminent (Acts 1:10 -11). When he comes, “…the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air...” (Acts 1:11, 1THess. 4:16 – 17).
Hell and Eternal Judgment:

We unreservedly believe that anyone who physically dies in their sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire, and therefore has no further opportunity of hearing the gospel or repenting. We unreservedly believe that the lake of fire is literal, and that the terms “eternal” and “everlasting”, used in describing the duration of punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God (Heb. 9:27, Rev. 19:20). “Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”. We unreservedly believe when He comes, “...the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” (Acts 1:11, 1THess. 4:16-17).

The History

Crazy for Christ Ministry (C.F.C) is an inter-denominational Christian ministry with a mandate to “Empower people to live for God”. It came about as a group of fourteen students from Anglican Senior High School, Kumasi led by Joseph Boahen went for a vacation retreat in April 1998.

It was at the retreat that the Lord instructed Joseph Boahen to continue to organise students during vacations for camp meetings in order for Him to empower them to live for Him.

Right after the first retreat, a massive evangelism campaign was launched on the campus of Anglican Senior High School, Kumasi-Ghana and a lot of souls were won. Like the stroke of a matchin a harmattan season, revival flames erupted suddenly, and burnt across the entire school as well as other senior high schools such as Yaa Asantewaa Girl’s School, Kumasi High School, and T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School among others within a short period of time.

In June 1998, a twenty one day fasting andprayers was declared and Crazy for Christ Ministry was officially inaugurated. Friday all-night services were quickly introduced and held every fortnight at Amankwatia School to help the camp meeting participants who lived around Kumasi and its precincts keep their love and fire for the Lordablaze.

In the year 2000the ministry changed the fortnight all-night services to weekly vigils at Obiri Yeboah School until 2006. Again, in 2006 the weekly vigils were also changed to Saturday revival meetings. As the ministry grew in number, maintaining the souls became a concern for the leadership. The Lord therefore led us to use the home cell system to serve as a new channel tomaintain and disciple the new converts to help withthe work of the ministry by way of winning and building new people up for the Lord.

Meanwhile, the termly camp meetings have continued unabated with several changes in terms of venue as and when the Lord has led us.

In all, Crazy for Christ ministry now has a network of over fifty-two campus branches in the second cycle institutions aswell as in fifteen tertiary institutions. We also have chapters in several regions in Ghana.

In addition, the ministry has acquired twenty plots of land at Piase near Ejisu and all is set to build a permanent camp ground. This facility is set to be the centre, from which the revival flames will travel across the world. The empowerment mandate is the focus of C.F.C ministry and everything is set to doggedly pursue it.
